Looking At Water
We are going to place water on different surfaces. Our first surface is a paper towel. Using the dropper, place several drops on the surface and observe the results.
Next, we will repeat the same process using the dropper. We will drop the water on typing paper this time. Observe the shape and action of the water on this surface.
Finally, let's drop some water on wax paper. This will give a completely different result from what you have seen so far. Let's closely observe how water looks on this surface. What can you get the water droplets to do?
Water's ability to pull itself into a small, dome-like shape is called surface tension!
